POLICY
Compassionate Professional Home Care, Inc. may perform TELEhealth monitoring as it is made permanent per CARES Act, Sec. 409.463. TELEhealth shall include remote monitoring and/or supervision, two-way communications and audio-only communication with the patient and/or significant other.
PROCEDURE
A TELEhealth monitoring/supervision may be performed in addition to a regular SNV as need arise with a corresponding physician order. TELEhealth will need to be documented as a specific related to a patient’s needs in the assessment. In addition, TELEhealth may be used to supplement a SNV but will not be considered a billable visit. A SNV must still occur in person with the staff member physically present in the patient’s home.
